Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Grace Van Cleave for Iowa Senate District 17

The Iowa Unity Coalition is proud to announce the endorsement of Grace Van Cleave for Iowa Senate District 17 in the upcoming Democratic primary election to be held on June 2, 2026. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Grace Van Cleave is a small business owner who lives in the Drake neighborhood with her husband, John. She has made a difference locally by leading an InvestDSM improvement grant project that made homeownership more affordable for her neighbors.

Grace is committed to fighting everyday in the Senate to address the affordability crisis and lower costs for hardworking families. Grace Van Cleave is part of a new generation of leaders who will work for every day Iowans.
