Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Heather Sievers for Iowa House District 40

The Iowa Unity Coalition is proud to announce the endorsement of Heather Sievers for Iowa House District 40 in the upcoming general election to be held on November 3, 2026. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Heather Sievers is an Iowa native who lives in Altoona. She holds 2 master’s degrees in counseling psychology and clinical nurse leadership.

Heather is the founder of Advocates for Iowa's Children and has been a tireless supporter of children and educators. Ms. Sievers serves on the Heartland AEA Board of Directors to give back to the organization that helped her daughter overcome challenges with disabilities. She is committed to providing strong public schools, accessible and affordable healthcare, protected workers rights and mental health access. Ms. Sievers is an independent leader who believes in non-partisan politics.
