Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Larry McBurney for Re-Election To Iowa House District 44

The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce our endorsement of Larry McBurney for re-election to Iowa House District 44 in the upcoming general election to be held on November 3, 2026. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Mr. McBurney was first elected to the Iowa House in 2024. He previously served on the Urbandale City Council and the Urbandale Civil Rights Commission. Larry served 11 years in the Iowa Air National Guard and was deployed overseas for three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mr. McBurney is a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Larry is the Executive Director of the Filipino American Society of Iowa.

Representative McBurney has a proven ability to build community relationships and he works to ensure underrepresented groups have a voice. He will continue to fight for our public schools, affordable living for all Iowans, accessible and affordable health care, and clean energy. Larry believes everyone in Iowa should have a chance to fulfill their dreams.
