Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Representative Dr. Megan Srinivas for Re-Election to Iowa House District 30

The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Representative Dr. Megan Srinivas for re-election to Iowa House District 30 in the upcoming general election to be held on November 3, 2026. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.
Dr. Srinivas is a physician from Des Moines and an infectious disease expert. She was elected to Iowa House District 30 in the 2022 general election, making her the youngest woman of color ever elected to the Iowa Legislature. She is currently serving her second term.
Megan is an infectious disease physician, public health policy researcher, and the Chief Medical Officer at Primary Health Care. She has served on the Iowa Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission and the board of the Iowa chapter of the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI Iowa). Dr. Srinivas currently serves on the Iowa Integrated Health Planning and Advisory Council and the Medical Assistance Advisory Council (Title XIX). Megan hosts the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and American Medical Association (AMA) infection prevention and health equity podcast, "Stories of Care."
The Iowa Unity Coalition believes Dr. Srinivas will continue to be a strong advocate for our diverse communities in the Iowa House, fighting tirelessly for policies that promote equality, prosperity, and health equity for all.
