Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Renee Hardman for Re-Election to

West Des Moines City Council, At-Large

The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce our endorsement of Renee Hardman for re-election to the West Des Moines City Council, At-Large in the upcoming election to be held on November 4, 2025. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.


Ms. Hardman is completing her second term on the West Des Moines City Council. She is the President and CEO of Lutheran Services in Iowa. Ms. Hardman is also the past president of the Chrysalis Foundation and former inaugural board member of the Latina Leadership Initiative.


Additionally, she has received several awards for her work in the business community and for her volunteer work including a lifetime volunteer award from President Joe Biden. She is also an Iowa Women Hall of Fame inductee. We respect her record of speaking up for social justicefor the residents of West Des Moines. We believe she is the best candidate to address the under representation of marginalized groups in West Des Moines government.
