The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Grace Van Cleave for Iowa Senate District 17 in the upcoming Democratic primary election to be held on June 7, 2022. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government. 

Grace Van Cleave is a small business owner and community activist. She has worked with EMILY’s List, America Votes, the Democratic Governors Association and for USDA Secretary and Former Iowa Governor, Tom Vilsack. Recently, she completed work on an Invest DSM project in her own neighborhood. Grace is a fierce advocate for economic, social and reproductive justice and women entrepreneurs.
