The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of John Chiles for Waterloo City Council Ward 1 in the upcoming election to be held on November 2, 2021. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

John Chiles is the Department Chair of Chamber Music and Orchestral Activities at the UNI Suzuki School. He also serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Main Street Waterloo and the Chairman of the Waterloo Community Development Board. John believes in the power of neighborhood associations and will work to build strong connections between all neighborhoods and the city. The Coalition believes his vision for a united city will benefit all residents.
