Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Chelsea Lepley for Des Moines City Council Ward 2

The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Chelsea Lepley for Des Moines City Council Ward 2 in the upcoming election to be held on November 7, 2023. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Chelsea Lepley is a third generation East Sider and is a neighborhood leader, serving as president of her neighborhood association as well as volunteering in several capacities. She has served on the Des Moines Park and Recreation Board in addition to many other city boards and commissions. Chelsea served on the Polk County Housing Trust Funds board and chaired it’s policy committee.

Ms. Lepley is a graduate of Iowa State University and holds a graduate degree in public administration. The Coalition believes she is the most qualified candidate and can best represent the people in her ward.
